What is PDF to Text?
PDF to Text is a PDF text extractor for files that already contain a text layer. It copies that text in page order. It is not PDF OCR and it does not read text from photos of pages.
Limits
Complex columns or tables may not match the visual reading order because PDF text objects are stored in their own sequence. Image-only scans have little or no text to extract. Password-protected PDFs are not opened. Files over 80 MB or 400 pages are rejected to protect browser memory.
Privacy
The PDF stays in your browser. It is not uploaded to a NEXNARA server.
FAQ
Does this work with scanned PDFs?
Usually no. If the file is a photograph of a page, there is no text layer to copy. Use a dedicated PDF OCR tool for that.
Why is the text order different?
PDFs store text as objects, not always in the order you read them. Multi-column layouts and tables can come out in a different sequence.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Extraction runs in your browser. The file is not sent to NEXNARA.
Can I download the text?
Yes. Use Copy or Download .txt after extraction.
