What is File Utility?
One browser workspace to batch-rename files for download and to generate file inventories as CSV, TXT, or JSON—without uploading files to a server.
Rename multiple files at once
Apply prefixes, suffixes, sequential numbers, find & replace, spacing rules, and case changes. Preview every new name, then download one file or a ZIP of renamed copies.
Add prefixes and suffixes
Prefixes attach before the base name. Suffixes insert before the extension, so photo.jpg with -edited becomes photo-edited.jpg.
Number files automatically
Enable sequential numbering with start, increment, and zero padding. Place numbers before the name, after the name, or replace the base name.
Find and replace filename text
Replace text in the base filename only. Extensions stay separate unless you change extension case.
Generate a file list
Build an inventory of selected files or a folder (when the browser supports it). Include name, extension, size, type, last modified, and relative path.
Export file names to CSV
Export the filtered list with the columns you selected. TXT can export names only; JSON exports structured rows.
Create a folder file inventory
Use Choose folder when available to include relative paths such as photos/2026/image01.jpg, then export for records or spreadsheets.
Why browsers cannot rename local files directly
Web pages are not allowed to change names on your disk. NEXNARA downloads newly named copies instead. Delete or replace originals yourself if you want only the new names.
Nzuzo
Filenames and sizes are processed in your browser. Files are not uploaded to a NEXNARA server. ZIP downloads read file bytes only to pack the archive locally.
