Web Video Downloader

Paste a direct video file URL, preview it in your browser, then download it when the video server allows. NEXNARA does not upload the file.

No upload to NEXNARA NEXNARA does not upload your video to our server. Your browser connects directly to the video URL you provide.

Only download videos you own or have permission to download.

What is a Web Video Downloader?

This tool helps you save a video when you already have a direct link to the file, such as an MP4 or WebM URL. It runs in your browser and does not fetch video page sites or bypass access controls.

How does direct video downloading work?

Your browser requests the URL you paste. If the resource is a playable video file, a preview appears. If the video server allows cross-site reading, the file can be saved with a download button. Otherwise the tool can only open the URL.

What is a direct video URL?

A direct video URL points at the media file itself, for example https://example.com/video.mp4. A watch page that shows a player is not a direct file URL, even if a video is visible on that page.

Why can't some videos be downloaded?

The file may be a webpage, a streaming playlist, protected by the video server, or too large to keep in memory. This tool does not extract videos from websites or decrypt protected streams.

What is CORS?

CORS is a browser rule that stops one website from reading files from another site unless that site allows it. A video can still play in the preview while download stays blocked. NEXNARA does not use a proxy to bypass that rule.

Supported video formats

Browser-native files such as MP4, WebM, and Ogg video are supported when the browser can play them. Codec support varies by browser and device. This tool does not convert or remux files.

Browser compatibility

Preview uses the built-in HTML5 video player. Download as a file needs the video server to allow cross-origin reads. Mobile browsers, especially Safari on iOS, may open the video in a new tab instead of saving a file.

Privacy

NEXNARA does not upload the URL or the video file to our servers, and nothing is stored in cookies or local storage for this tool. The external video host will still see a request from your browser, because the file is loaded directly from that URL.

Responsible use

Use this tool only for videos you own or have permission to save. Do not use it to copy other people's content or to bypass paywalls, logins, or DRM.

FAQ

What is a direct video URL?

It is a link that ends at the video file itself, such as an MP4 or WebM address, not a website page that embeds a player.

Which video formats are supported?

MP4, WebM, and Ogg video files that the browser can play. Other containers are not converted here.

Why does a video play but cannot be downloaded?

The player can show a video even when the server blocks other websites from reading the file. In that case the tool offers Open Video instead of a guaranteed download.

Why does CORS block some downloads?

Browsers only let this site save a file from another host if that host sends permission headers. NEXNARA does not proxy or bypass that restriction.

Can I download streaming playlists?

No. HLS (.m3u8) and DASH (.mpd) playlists are not assembled into a single file in this version.

Does NEXNARA upload my video?

No. The file is not uploaded to NEXNARA. Your browser talks to the video URL you enter.

Can I use this tool on mobile?

Yes. You can load and preview a direct video URL on a phone. Saving a file still depends on the video server and on the mobile browser.
